I will come back to this
I've bought many silly things for the home. I'll have to move them with me. I ordered an amazing happy time couch from Room & Board, and since it is a custom fabric, it will be ready just as soon as we move to St. Louis in 5 weeks. I wish we were moving sooner. Too much suspense.

Living Room and Entry
The BF thinks all of my ideas for the living room seem to have a book theme. Therefore the Kerouac and Thompson book posters would be appropriate (his fave fiction authors) along with the books drawn on walls. The color scheme will be (hopefully) white, gray and orange. So here are the ideas for the living room and entry way:
Urbanoutfitters
Posted earlier West Elm Fauz Bois Mirror for the entryway
Orange Eurway chair for BF to play Wii in
Urbanoutfitters Apostrophe Chair and Ottoman
Eurway green chair and ottoman for reading nook?
Ikea chair, also comes in orange
This Shine couch I might be able to get at wholesale at work. It comes in a hundred colors
Sofette from Pottery Barn
CB2 Chet Sofa...Do you like Chet Baker?
Eurway Media Center...We just got a huge flat screen from the BF's parents
Awesome (on sale) TV frame from Pottery Barn
I like the Design within Reach $4000 credenza, but this CB2 one will do
The entryway must have a coat rack
If there is too much lucite, a wood coffee table from UO would be good
Resin Wood Stump side tables from West Elm
I love everything nautical though this might be too much for the entryway (Pottery Barn)

I'm far too excited about lucite coffee tables
Now that I am a graduate of sorts, I'm allowing my super type-A personality to devote itself entirely to decorating the new aptie. I've been making silly lists for each room of what I have currently for the room, what BF has for the room, and what needs and could be bought for the room, what retailers have cute and affordable items that fit within the requirements, etc...
Though it is quite silly, I'm tempted to post them, so that I can access my own lists whenever I want. My paper lists get quite wrinkled in my purse. It is nice working at a retail store specializing in home decor because I can get lots of wonderful things at wholesale. Surprisingly though, wholesale prices for luxury goods can be ridiculously more than retail for average stuff. Does that actually mean it is better quality? I'm not sure yet. However I've never slept on nicer bedding than Matteo linen sheets, though it was quite a stretch just to pay wholesale.
OCD lists to follow, with pictures of course...
P.S.- Bluefly.com is wonderful. I was shopping for a graduation dress and the one I liked said there was only one left, but I hadn't gotten my stimulus refund yet. I borrowed money from the BF to buy the dress. Two days later there were more on the site and for $30 less. I emailed and explained the situation, asking for a price adjustment. I expected douche-baggery to follow, however, I received a very nice email saying "Of Course, We Love You!" and they refunded the difference. I know that sounds silly, but in the world of faceless commerce, it is nice to get good service once in a while.

I know it makes me seem like a sorority girl, but...
The creative director at my job says girls who pick out their own engagement rings are bitches...however, it is too much fun not to look and send links to your mom and boyfriend. I am fascinated by these vintage rings. I want to know who owned it before, what was the meaning of the ring, what was the proposal like? There is something tragically romantic about estate jewelery in general. I don't understand why anyone would by a new ring, but then again, if they didn't, there would be no rings for me.
I ususally post whatever fashion/design thing I'm currently coveting or shopping for on the internet, and since right now, it is engagement rings, why not share? Even though it makes me feel a little dirty... This is more for fun anyways! We're not doing anything serious for a while.
Yellow diamonds are awesome, even if they are trendy
I'd say that creativity in engagement rings has decreased over the years...silly
This asymmetrical ring is from symmetry
Could they have picked a better hand model?
This one is sold, but it is a neat style. It's like a happy basket!
Brown Diamonds are also spectacular
For some reason, this one makes me think of a lion head with a mane...but that's a good thing.
It doesn't help that I love the new Beach House album and the first song is "Wedding Bell" haha Speaking of albums, the Crystal Castles album is awesome. It makes me want to dance in my apartment with my cat. I feel like maybe they came to town before I knew who they were which is sad...But I'm excited for my M.I.A. concert all Saturday night and Sunday morning, Osteology final at 1:00pm Sunday, and then going directly to Jazz Fest after. I better wear comfortable shoes haha

If you are going to wear a knock-off, make sure there are no pretenses that it is real
I am quite verliebt with these slowandsteadywinstherace.com bags. They are super stripped down versions of famous designer bags. I love the concept and the execution. I think I'm going to get the Chanel one. It has a delicious irony to it.
Dior Saddle Bag
Balenciaga motorcycle bag
Hermes Birkin Bag
The perennial Gucci Bamboo Handle bag which supposedly the buyer for my store found in a thrift store which makes me die with envy...

Pants
For someone who wears and owns so many dresses, I've been quite enamored with pants lately. Ross got me a free pair of the above, yet-to-be-released American Apparel Stretch Twill High Waister zipper ankle pants. They run bigger than the slim slacks and stretch out a lot. Get a size down!
The imfamous Skimmer Hi-Waister Levi Capital E's that were sold out everywhere and you couldn't even find on ebay (I know, I looked everywhere) are finally back on Levis.com. Supposedly every staff member at Lucky magazine has a pair of these for whatever that is worth. Whenever I have $165 and don't want to spend it on other things...
Everytime I get paid, I mean to get these Levi's eco skinny jeans in Chamomile. But you know how money goes...
I like the asymetrical positioning of the buttons on these linen pants. I have a fantasy of living on the meditererrean and going to farmers markets wearing these pants and having my hair in pin curls. Please don't ruin it.
On an unrelated note, isn't this Tibi blouse amazing? It's so dutch painter meets nautical. I love it.
